Another edition of the International InterBuildExpo fair in Kiev has come to an end. It is the most important exhibition event in the construction and finishing industry in Ukraine. This year, the fair was organized in two exhibition halls covering all areas of construction. Moreover, interactive platforms for workshops and presentation of products and technologies were organized. As a result, it was possible to create a unique business program consisting of over 40 professional events in a closed and open format.
Despite the restrictions related to the pandemic, under the new sanitary conditions the InterBuildExpo fair was very successful for Polish entrepreneurs. The Polish construction and finishing of buildings industry was represented by nearly thirty entrepreneurs promoting their own brands who decided to personally take part in the fair and use the space of the National Stand.
Thirteen Polish companies decided to participate in the event as exhibitors, and in addition, Polish companies took advantage of the opportunity to present their products and services at the National Stand through exhibitions of catalogs and leaflets, as well as the presentations of a promotional film.
Numerous activities promoting the industry were conducted at the National Stand, including a press briefing and meetings with experts, and a special stand area was used by the entrepreneurs to hold B2B meetings, networking sessions and conduct their own promotional activities. Support for Polish entrepreneurs was provided by an expert present at the stand, Mr. Aleksander Sokół, the Chairman of the Construction Committee of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce.
The National Stand and the visualization of the Polish Pavilion on it promoted Poland’s participation in the World Exhibition Expo 2020 in Dubai.
Together with the fair, an economic mission was also organized, the purpose of which was, a.o. arranging additional time for meetings with selected Ukrainian companies for entrepreneurs, learning about the specificity of the Ukrainian market thanks to the meetings with the representatives of the Foreign Trade Office in Kiev and the economic department of the Polish Embassy in Kiev.
It was also extremely interesting to meet a local lawyer and accountant, thanks to which you could learn about the possibilities of establishing and running a business in Ukraine, opportunities and threats related to the functioning on the Ukrainian market, as well as obtain basic information on the amount and type of taxes, legal forms of business activity or accounting principles.
The in-depth integration and exchange of experiences took place during a gala dinner, during which Polish entrepreneurs got acquainted with the specialties of the local cuisine.
The InterBuildExpo fair is the first of six fair events as part of the construction and finishing of buildings Promotion Program implemented in 2020-2022 by the Ministry of Economic Development, Labor and Technology, at which an information and promotion stand was organized.
