Report from the AVIASVIT 2021 fair

Another edition of the International AVIASVIT fair in Kiev came to an end. It is the most important exhibition event in the Automotive and Aviation Parts industry in Ukraine.

The fair was very successful for Polish entrepreneurs. The Polish industry was represented by over twenty entrepreneurs promoting their own brands, who decided to take part in the fair and use the space of the National Stand in person.

Several Polish companies decided to take part in the event as exhibitors, and in addition to this, Polish entrepreneurs took advantage of the opportunity to present their products and services at the National Stand by displaying catalogs and leaflets and showing a promotional film.

Numerous activities promoting the industry were carried out at the National Stand, including a press briefing with the participation of the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Bartosz Cichocki. The President of the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Jacek Piechota, presented the activities of the Chamber and encouraged to cooperate on the Ukrainian market. We also listened to a presentation by the representative of the Polish drone industry, Mr. Sebastian Babiarz, representing the Dronehub company.

Meetings with experts were held within the space of the National Stand, and a specially dedicated VIP room was used by the entrepreneurs to hold B2B meetings, networking sessions and conduct their own promotional activities. Support for Polish entrepreneurs was provided by the expert present at the stand, Mr. Robert Fintak, vice-president of the Polish Chamber of Unmanned Systems.

The National Stand and the visualization of the Polish Pavilion promoted Poland’s participation in the World Dubai Expo 2020.

Along with the fair, an economic mission was also organized, the purpose of which was to become familiar with the specificity of the Ukrainian market. During the meeting at the Foreign Trade Office, the practical aspects of running a business in Ukraine were discussed. The participants talked about the opportunities and threats related to functioning on the Ukrainian market, and also obtained basic information on the amount and type of taxes, legal forms of business activity, and accounting principles.

Entrepreneurs from the industry integrated during a dinner at a local restaurant, Lyubchyk and the next day, the participants had the opportunity to visit Kiev with a local guide.

The AVIASVIT fair is the first of seven fair events as part of the Polish Automotive and Aviation Parts Promotion Program implemented in 2020-2022 by the Ministry of Economic Development, Labor and Technology, at which an information and promotional stand was organized.
