On 3-5 February 2021 the Kyiv Fashion fair, the most prestigious event in the clothing and textile industry in Ukraine, took place at the International Exhibition Center in Kiev. This event has the status of “UFI Approved events”, which is an event recommended by the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. Every year, it attracts many entrepreneurs not only from Ukraine, but also from France, Turkey and other European and Asian countries.
Although the Covid-19 pandemic meant that this time the representation of entrepreneurs was not so numerous, it did not prevent interesting business meetings from being held.
At the attractively arranged Polish National Stand, activities promoting the Polish fashion industry were conducted, a press briefing and meetings with experts were organized and a specially designated stand area was used by entrepreneurs to hold B2B meetings.
The National Stand and the visualizations of the Polish Pavilion also promoted Poland’s participation in the World Expo 2020 Dubai.
An economic mission was organized for the Kyiv fair, with the participation of 28 Polish entrepreneurs. They took part in expert meetings on the possibilities of developing cooperation in the fashion industry in Ukraine and the formal aspects of entering the Ukrainian market.
The Kyiv Fashion Fair is the second event, after the International Fashion Week Dubai (November 2020), at which the information and promotion stand was organized as part of the Polish Fashion Promotion Program implemented in 2020-2022 by the Ministry of Economic Development, Labour and Technology.
